Updating and harmonizing the HRM Domain of Boliden
Boliden is a high-tech metal company with its own mines and smelters, founded in the year 1924. The organization’s purpose is to guarantee society’s supply of base and precious metals through the mining of ore (minerals) and the production and delivery of high-quality metals. The majority of the workforce is located in Sweden, Finland, Norway & Ireland. Innovation, automation, digitalization, CSR & security are key strategic focus areas to continuously improving productivity and reinforcing the position of being a leading company in it’s domain aiming to be emission neutral.
THEIR QUESTION
After 20 years of using an on-prem, under dimensioned payroll system the EOL had finally come. Boliden needed a partner to understand their needs and what solution would be the best fit. The transactional HR activities were very manual. The system support lacked functionality and had poor data quality and did not offer sufficient insights.
